What I did this summer...

Wow I haven't written in here since July 22.  Every time I say I'm going start writing in here I never do, haha.  Well I start school in the morning.  Its my senior year of college, wow I feel old, haha.  I haven't really done anything all summer.  I went to Warped Tour in July.  I was supposed to go see Blink-182, Weezer, taking Back Sunday and Chester French this past Saturday in Hartford, CT.  But didn't go.  I really wanted to got to show since late May.  Two weeks ago I just said fuck it (literally I was alone in my room and I actually said out loud, "Oh fuck it") and bid on and won two tickets to go to the show on eBay.  But I had no one to go with me and thus I started to freak out.  One of my old friends said he might, and then he didn't give me an answer.  I called him last Wednesday because I was starting to worry, three days before the show, and he said his grandmother was in the hospital and he couldn't go.  I freaked out.  I couldn't think of anyone else to go with me and if I wanted to see them on eBay I only had less than three days to sell and ship them.  Then at like 7:30 pm I said screw it and put them on eBay.  I was relived after 20 minutes one person messaged me saying they might want them and then another messaged me and said if I added a Buy-It-Now they would pay $75, including shipping.  I added a Buy-It-Now and sold them.  But I still really wish I could have gone.  I have been doing whatever I can think of to make money.  I sold I shit load of stuff on eBay this summer.  I listed 200 items and made more than $748.28.  That's a lot.  I started writing articles on the articles on eHow.com.  the site is full of How-To articles.  You write articles on the sites and they pay you for the views your article gets.  I wrote 14 articles on the site.  I written anymore though because the site pissed me off.  They were having problems and I sent them three messages over three weeks and the over responded to the second two, which annoyed me.  Then I started thinking about how I bet this site probably generates tens of thousands of dollars in ad revue every month.  They can more than afford to hire a few more people to work at the site and then it won't have issues.  And when they did answer my messages their answers were really crappy.  Since I started writing these articles, my 14 articles have a combined 1123 views and according to eHow I have made zero dollars off of my articles.  They are trying to tell me 1123 views equals zero dollars.  How?  I bet they made money off of ad revue of my 1123 views.  (You can read my eHow articles by clicking here).  I also had a yard sale in June to make money, or maybe it was May.  I sold stuff at the Flea market twice this summer.  I have been getting stuff and bringing to this thift store in Leominster called Cutiques, I bring stuff then and when my stuff sells they give me a check.  My mom also discovered this place in Holden where everything is free.  She got me a whole bunch of cross stitch patterns there and I sold them for between $2.5 and $20 each.
When upgraded to Digital Cable in mid-July and ever since I have been watching a lot of movies.  I literally have watched about 50 movies since May.  That a lot for me.  And most of them were really good.  (You can read reviews of all the movies on the Flixter application on Facebook).  I also became addicted to the show Weeds.  I bough the first two seasons at a yard sale for $2 each and I LOVED the show.  I watched the first two seasons in like three days.  I then had to go buy season three because the cliffhanger at the end of season drove me crazy.  Then I had to go buy season four.  With each season I liked the show more.  When I finished watching season four I started re-watching the DVDs.  Then when I finished watching season four I freaked because season five is on TV now and wouldn't go on sale until June of next year, I checked Amazon.  I really wish we got Showtime so I could watch the new season, but Showtime is an extra $10 a month and if I wait I can buy all of season five for like $20 next year.  Last week I was at my great-aunt's house and she gets Showtime and has On Demand so I was able to watch the first one and a half episodes of season five.  I also four books since the beginning of May.  That is a lot of books for me.  I usually read like maybe 2 books a year. You can see a list of all the movies I watched and books I read by clicking here.

My first really randon post in 2.5 months

So over since my last post not much has happened in my mundane life.  I reorganized my room a little.  I gave my old desktop computer and desk to my grandmother.  I got a new desk.  I FINALLY  have a desk I can sit at and use now.  I got a some new shelf units to hold my stuff.  I got new CD shelves.  And all my new shelf units are black and the all match.  My room looks nice now.  My mom bought me a nice printer for my room.  I have gotten really into the artist Gus Fink, am have bought a bunch of his stuff on ebay.  I now have seven Gus Fink art prints on my walls.  I am FINALLY going to hang that sweet Sublime skateboard on won in an online contest on the wall.  I also FINALLY bought a record player, although it is a piece of shit.  I also have picked up some sweet really cheap records including by the Beatles: "Let it Be", "Magical Mystery Tour", "Revolver", "Abby Road", "1962-1966", and "1967-1970"; "My Aim is True" by Elvis Costello; "Double Fantasy" by John Lennon and Yoko Ono; and "Never Mind The Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols" by the Sex Pistols.  I am really want "London Calling" by The Clash and "Skeletons in the Closet" by Grateful Dead on vinyl.  I am watching both on ebay and will probably bid.  Speaking of ebay since I'm not currently working I am trying to sell whatever I can on ebay.  Check out my crap athttp://shop.ebay.com/merchant/ribzy12_W0QQ_nkwZQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZThere is a bunch of crap want to do this summer but won't.  First I want to go to the Eugene Mirman show in Boston this month, but won't.  I want to go to the gallery of the work of Shepard Fairy at the ICA in Boston, but won't.  I really wanted to go to Blink182's reunion, but I highly doubt I'll do that.  I now own a Sega Genesis, an N64 and a GameCube, but I am in no way a gamer and I rarely play any of them.  I also no own a 5' tall Homer Simpson that sings and dances.  My bought it at a yard sale.  I turned 22 this past Monday and I did pretty much nothing to celebrate.  Me, my mother and grandmother went out to lunch.   Bun is having me drive her to the cemetery to water the plants on Grampy's grave several days a week.  I don't know what else to say.  I'll try to blog again this weekend.

A bought a great box set and a book

I am so happy, the CD box set I bought on ebay came today.  I bought No Thanks! The '70s Punk Rebellion (pictured above) on ebay last week.  It's an awesome four CD set that I've wanted for like a year or more.  It's about $60 in the stores, I paid $15 (including shipping) on ebay and it's in really good condition.  I'm going to listen to it soon.  It has some amazing songs on it.  There are like three awesome CD box sets by these guys at Rhino Records.  The first is Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the First Psychedelic Era 1965-1968 which has great songs from the psychedelic era of the 1960s, No Thanks! The '70s Punk Rebellion which chronicles the beginning of punk, and Left of the Dial: Dispatches from the '80s Underground which has some awesome underground songs from the '80s.  I bought the last one last summer at the flea market for $10 (although sadly it's missing disc 4 ) and I just got No Thanks! on ebay, alls that's left is Nuggets.  I'll probably never buy that one though, it isn't as good as the other two.
I also just bought the book "The Will to the Whatevs: A Guide to Modern Life" by Eugene Mirman (pictured above).  I've wanted this book for a few months now, I didn't rush to buy it because I'm not a huge reader so I'll get it when I get it.  If you don't know who Eugene Mirman is then I recommend you crawl out from under the rock you live under and look up this amazing comedian online.  This book is a hilarious self-help book that he had been writing for a while, but the book just recently came out.  The book is 206 pages, so I might get through it by Christmas, haha.  I'm a very slow reader.  Mom had a coupon so I only paid like $6 for it Borders.  A few weeks ago me and ma were at Borders and I started reading this book called "Weird Stories, Bizarre Stories and Life's Oddities".  I shows mom and she looked at it and asked if I wanted her to buy it for me.  Just to let you know she had a coupon she needed to use, she doesn't normally just buy me stuff.  At first I said no but then I looked at the back of the book and saw it was only like $4, so I let her buy it.  So I've been reading that too, but that has a lot of pictures, so it's a faster read.
Over the past weekend we went to our first yard sale of the year.  If you don't know me well, I love yard sales and flea markets and such.  I've got some amazing deals on stuff.  I've also bought stuff and resold it for a good profit too.  I can be a good salesman.  There was only one yard sale over the weekend, but this weekend there'll be more and then there'll be pretty much more each week.  It's very exciting.  My mom said the Rietta Ranch flea market opens for the year this Sunday, she wants to go but I don't think we are going to.

WROR Yard Sale was Awesome

When we left this morning we went to Dozen Donuts and I got my usual two glazed donuts.  When dad came back to the car with my donuts Jen looked and the bag and took one of my donuts out and asked if she could bite it.  I was like, "sure, I doubt you'll eat it though."  Today was the WROR Yard Sale at Kimble's.  It was awesome.  I got a bunch of good shit cheap.  Mom and Gram bought a lot, A LOT, of really good, really cheap stuff.  I bought Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 for GameCube for $1 and another cool lighting globe thing for $5.  I also bought the books Stuff White People Like and Cheech & Chong: The Unauthorized autobiography by Tommy Chong for $1 each, hats right $1 each for those two amazing books.  I also bought a new copy of the CD Lorne and Wally: Stand Up Guys for $.25 (it sells at FYE for $14) and even got Lorne and Wally to sign it for me.  Although I had to fight a large crowd to get their autographs.  I also bought one of comedian Bob Marley's CDs and got him to sign that too.  Then later I heard of some speaker that Tom Doyle was there so I went to find him to see if he'd sign something.  I saw him from a distance but when i started to get close he was gone.  Then I tried again and I didn't see him again.  Then when I went to leave I didn't see him but I walked by him and he called me some name and shock my hand.  I was going to have him sign my CD too, but I figured screw it, I should have brought my copy of his CD to sign.  It was a good day.  After that we all went for lunch/breakfast at Jake's.
