Milk was Amazing

I rented the film Milk today out of the RedBox and it was one of the best films I've ever seen.  I had wanted to see it for a while, I thought I might possibly like it.  I loved it.  The cast was amazing.  Sean Penn by far deserved the Oscar for Best Actor this year.  I really really like Sean Penn.  I haven't seen too too many of his films, but every film I've seen him in he was amazing in.  I loved him I am Sam too.  Josh Brolin's performance was incredible.  James Franco was awesome.  Brolin and Franco put so much emotion into their characters.  The look in Harvey's eyes was so powerful.  When I first saw Lucas Grabeel as Danny Nicoletta, I was unsure how he would be.  I was like "Isn't that the kid from High School Musical?"  But he really surprised me and did a really good performance.  They showed a real pictures of many of the main characters and the many of the actors actually looked like the real life people they portrayed, especially Milk.  Sean Penn looked a lot like Harvey Milk.  This film was just awesome.  Within the first 15 minutes of the film I immediately knew I would love it.  I cannot praise this film enough.  I just loved the whole style of the film, having Harvey Milk in a way narrate the story.  I loved how they wove actually footage of the period into the film.  In the end of the film I knew it was coming, but that scene with Harvey Milk and Dan White in White's office was still riveting.  I seriously, seriously recommend everyone see this film.  I watched the special features and they were just as incredible.  It was really interesting to see that they actually included many of the actual people from the story n the film, most of them had small roles in the background, but still.  Very few films actually move me.  If you actually really know me, and I know most of you don't, you'd know that I am NOT a very sensitive or emotional person at all.  This film moved me.
Honestly the only other film that has moved me like this was I am Sam (also starring Sean Penn).  That is another film I recommend you see.     That film is about a mentally retarded man's struggle's to keep custody of his daughter.  I've actually never told this story, as some of you know my younger sister is mentally retarded and the first time I watched I am Sam she was sitting with me.  It was just the two of us in my room.  She usually won't sit through many actual non-children's movie, she will usually either fall asleep or start fussing.  She stayed awake the whole time and didn't make a peep.  I honestly think she enjoyed it just as much as I did, although she can't talk so I won't actually know.  After the two us finished watching it, I just hugged her and sat with her for a while.  That film really just got to me.  My mom really liked the film What's Eating Gilbert Grape.  That movie was good, however I thought Sean Penn did a better portrayal of a person with mental retardation and the story was better.
Any one who really knows me knows I never talk like I did in this post.  I don't know, I just feel like it.  I also know probably no one will read this, but I just felt like writing this and saying what I've said.

Me and Jen went to Hannafords

Bun had said last week that we might go out for breakfast some time this week since me and Kara are both on spring break.  I was thinking about last night and I called Bun and said today was the last day of the week are we going or not.  She said sure.  Me, her and Kara all went to breakfast this morning.  Initially she had said last week that we might go to Jake's Cafe in West Boylston, but Grampy used to love that place and he died the end of last year.  Bun said she wasn't ready to go there, I tried to talk her into it but it was no use.  We were going to go to some place in Acton, but when we got there it was packed.  We left and went to some place in Maynard, the food was OK.  Me and Jen hung out for a while today.  Mom had to get her wisdom teeth pulled and dad went with her.  Right before Ma & Pa left Jen came in the living room and to sit with me.  After a while she leaned against me and fell asleep.  She dozed on and off.  She kept waking up and making me rub her ear.  She sat with me for over an hour and then Bun called and asked if we wanted to come over because Sandy was there.  Before Jen fell asleep she kept signing she wanted to walk to Bun's to show her movie, so I told Bun sure.  We hung out there for like 45 minutes to an hour and then we went back home.  Then we left to go return bottles at Hannafords.  I told Bun we were going and like always she wasn't sure if I should.  I told her I'd brought Jen to do bottles before and she was fine, it'll be ok.  As we were walking across the parking lot I saw a car that looked just liked Gram's and when we walked by it and I happened to turn and look at it and I realized an was sitting in the Passenger's seat of the car.  It was Gram's car.  We stopped and talked to Nan for a second.  Jen was such a good girl, I could tell she was actually having fun.  I think Jen loves to be given some responsibility.  Jen loved putting the bottles in the machine.  She was very slow but I was no hurry and she was having fun.  We she first started putting bottles in the machine she looked at me and signed work Elmo.  I thought for a second and remembered there was and Elmo DVD she wanted they were selling at Hannafords.  She was asking me if she helped me if I'd buy her the DVD.  I said, "No Jen, Elmo's for babies."  After we returned bottles she helped me cash in some money in the Coin Star Machine.  When we were at the Coin Star machine the girl who was working in the courtesy booth walked by us and told me Jen is her favorite little girl that comes in.  I don't know if she knew Jen outside of Hannafords or not, but I thought that was nice.  Next we looked for a movie to rent out of the RedBox.  I was leaning towards renting the film Milk, but I kept looking at the other movies.  I did rent Milk, read my review of the film in my next post.  Jen was such a good girl I let her rent a movie too.  She wanted to rent a Bob the Builder, I said no.  Then she wanted Scooby Doo, I told she wouldn't watch it.  She wanted Sponge Bob, and I told her the same thing.  She eventually rented Kung Fu Panda.  Then we walked around Hannafords to buy some food.  Hannafords now has small carts for like old or short people and Jen loves them.  She insisted I buy her some bubbles, so I gave in, they were only $0.85.  When we were at the register Lampon was the cashier at the register behind us.  Lampon is a really nice Viatemese lady that works at Hannafords she was asking me about Jen.  She was saying Jen is cute and then she asked how old Jen was.  She was stunned when I said eighteen.  I laughed and said she is a little short.

Me and Jen Got Locked Out

Mom and Bun went out shopping again this morning so I had to get Jen off the bus at 12:35.  I was standing in the kitchen when I heard the bus pull in the driveway I ran outside to get Jen off the bus.  I got Jen off the bus.  Then I turned around and realized when I ran outside somehow the backdoor shut and was locked and my keys where on my desk in my room.  Me and Jen were standing on the driveway locked out.  I was like shit what now?  So I said to Jen, "Do you wanna go to Buns?"  She said yes and we walked across the lawn.  I hoped Grampy would be home, but I was pretty sure he wouldn't be.  He wasn't, he goes out to lunch with his friend on Thursdays.  Then I remember Bun had a key to her house hidden somewhere on the porch, I figured if I found it I could find the key to my house in one of the drawers of her house.  I looked and looked and couldn't find the key.  So me and Jen just sat on Bun's porch and watched TV until mom and Bun got home.  They got home at like 1:15.

Yard Saleing, Calculus, and Carlin on SNL

Today was ok.  Dad is at the Nascar race in NH.  Me and mom have to hang with Jen all weekend.  We yard saled for most of the morning.  I got a present for Jessie, Hellcat Records The Give 'Em the Boot II CD,  The DVD Thank You For Smoking, the CD Elephant by the White Stripes and Tony Hawk Pro Skater II for N64.  I also the CD split Piebald did with River City High in like 2000 for $.50.  People keep posting that on eBay for between $2 and $4.  It is one of the last Piebald albums I don't have.  Then we went shopping around at different stores.  We went to the Christmas Tree Shop in Shrewsbury.  They didn't have what we wanted, so we went to the one in Natick.  Then we shopped Natick.
When we got home I checked my email and I got a 93 on my 5th and last Calculus quiz.  My current average in the class is a 73 I think.  I figured it it out mathematically and if I can get at least a 67 on the final I will get a 70 in the class.  I have to have at least a 70, so I hope I get that.  I really really don't want to take the class for a third time.
To honor George Carlin NBC is replaying the first episode of Saturday Night Live, which he hosted in 1975.  Although back then it was only called Saturday Night.  It's really interesting.  Some of the sketches are weird.  Some sketches aren't that funny.  But you can definitely tell how revolutionary the show was at the time.  It seems so awesome that Carlin hosted the first episode of SNL.  He and SNL are so important to modern comedy and modern comedy would never have been the same without either.  They both radically changed comedy forever.

I Went to the Cape Today

I went to Cape Cod today with my family. It was OK. Me, Bun, Jen and Ma went shopping and such and dad and Grampy went fishing at on the Canal. I got Meet the Fockers on DVD and The Royal Tenenbaums on VHS at this crappy thrift store that smells. I also got a CD by The Sleeping at a Salvation Army. In the new issue of AP it said Sebastian Bach played a set with them at Bamboozle, that's weird. That one always has cool stuff you wouldn't expect to see in a thrift store. When we finished shopping we went back and watched Pa and Gramps fish. My dad caught a 30" fish and a shark that was about 21". It started to rain when they were finishing raining. Then it started to rain hard, really hard. Grampy jumped in the truck, dad didn't. He just sat out there. After a couple minutes Grampy gave dad his raincoat, but he was already pretty wet. When it stopped raining he packed his stuff up and got in the van. On the way home me and mom went into Wal*Mart to buy dad some shorts because the raincoat didn't cover his lower half and he was completely saturated. I read some more of I Am America (And So Can You). I am now on page 184 of 227. It has taken me since Christmas to get that far.

I Bought a Nintendo Game Cube, Jen had Fun at Park, I want to see Be Kind Rewind

So I went yard saleing today and bought a Nintendo GameCube.  I paid just $15 for a Nintendo GameCube, a controller, a wireless controller, a bag for it, and the game Super Smash Brothers Malee.  It was good.  I played it for a while when I got home.  It was fun, but after like two hours I realized it would be a lot more fun to play if I had more friends.  Sunday morning I am going to the flea market, it should be fun.
Yesterday me and Jen and Jessie hung out for a while.  We went to the playground, then Burger King, then another playground.  It was fun.  Jen had a lot of fun.  It was nice to get here out to have fun.  I told Jessie we have to take her to Davis's Farmland sometime.
Yesterday me and Jessie went to get the movie Be Kind Rewind out of the RedBox, but it wasn't in there.  I was sad.  I was there again today and checked and it wasn't there still.

Hot Fuzz was Funny

Earlier me and Jen watched the movie Hot Fuzz.  It was really good.  I didn't think I'd like it that much, but it was really good.  It was funny in the same why Shaun of the Dead was.  There were very little real, traditional jokes.  The script was really funny.  Jen liked it to, he likes violence.  In the beginning of the movie I started eating some Goldfish, I offered Jen a couple.  Jen apparently now likes Goldfish, she ate a lot of it.

Yard Saleing and Jen was a Good Girl at Target

I went yard saleing this morning and Jessie came.  There wasn't many yard sales.  Mom said yesterday we were going to leave this morning at 7:45, but she never woke me up.  She just left.  She called me at 8:20 and said they were on their way to pick up Jessie and asked if I was coming.  I freaked out and said yes.  they said they'd come back after they get Jessie to get me.  I got dressed and was completely ready to go in about 10 minutes.  They didn't come back to get me until about 9:16.  We only yard saled until about 11:15.  Me and Jessie hung out and watched Jen.  Then I had to bring Jessie at work.  Jen and I went for a ride to bring Jessie to work.  Jessie works at Target.  Jen and I roamed target for about and hour.  Jen was very good.  She enjoyed just walking around the store.  I was proud of here because she looked at the DVDs and didn't cry when I said she couldn't buy one.  She picked up a couple DVDs, I said no, ad she put it back and waved bye to it.  It was funny.  I bought her a ball to play with in the yard.  Then we went to Best Buy.  Jen was really good there.  Then we went to Hannaford's and I got the DVD Untraceable from the Red Box, I'm watching it now.
Tomorrow I'm going to sell stuff at the Flea Market.  I'm leaving at 4:45 am.  Ugh.

Good Weekend

This weekend was pretty good.  Me and Jessie exchanged V-Day gifts on Friday.  Of course V-Day stands for Valentine's Day, but V-Day is just so much more fun to say.  I got here a crappy card with Snoopy on it.  She liked the card.  She told me I can buy her the shittest card, But as long as Snoopy (or any Peanuts character) is on it she'd love it.  I said from now on I promise I would buy her crappy cards with Snoopy on them.  I also gave her a picture I'd made.  It was a picture of us in Central Park last year stretched over 6 pages.  It was made entirely of colored dots.  I thought it might be cool, but figured it wasn't.  She loved it.  I also gave her a dog I bought at Wal*Mart last Thursday that said "I love this much".  It was a kind of inside joke between us.  I was going to get her some heart shaped Crunch bars, but I couldn't find any.  I couldn't even find a Crunch bar.  She gave me some Twizzlers and a 20 oz bottle of coke, by favorite candy and my favorite drink.  She also made me a big card.  I always love the cards she makes me, but I always feel bad because they are always way better than the gifts I give.
On Saturday she came over again.  We really didn't do anything except watch TV.  We hung out with Jen for a while too.
On Sunday she came over and we went to my great aunt Vail's for breakfast.  Then we came back to my house and just hung out then she had to go home at about 3.

Headache, School and a Dumb Movie

So I did some editing on my website, go check it out at http://ribzy.freehostia.com/.  I have a headache, it's probably as mix of Jen and being sleepy.  Me and mom had to watch Jen almost all day Saturday and for some reason she was a beast.  She just whined and fussed all day.  I didn't do any homework yet.  I meant to all day Saturday, but just never did.  Yesterday at school I found out that they are offer the online Calc I again.  I was going take it but it had been canceled, so I took Principles of Political Science instead.  Yesterday I contemplated dropping Principles of Political Science and take the online Calc I.  My mom said I should take both, but I told her there is no way in hell I'm taking six classes.  I think I'm just going to take it in the fall.  I think Johnny is going to do the same thing.  I have been meaning to put some more stuff on eBay for a week, but I've only listed one thing.  There is literally $40 items on the floor next to me waiting to be listed on eBay.  Like half of them are already all priced and everything.  I'll probably hopefully list a bunch this week.  Yesterday at school a big group of us watched the movie Shoot Em Up on one of the TVs in the Student Center.  That movie was so stupid and incredibly unbelievable.  By the end of the movie the main character has severally injured both his hands, and their all bandaged up.  Then he pulls a gun out of pocket and shoots some people trying the rob the restaurant by wedging a carrot in the trigger of the gun and pushing the carrot with his stub of a hand to fire the gun.  then he shots on of the robbers in the leg, then the robber falls.  He then shots that robber right on his trigger finger of the gun he is holding which fires robber 1's gun and hits robber 2.  We all laughed so hard because it was so unbelievably dumb.  And they wondered why that movie didn't do that good in the theatres last year.

Its hard to keep Jen awake

So, it looks like the comedy show is discussed earlier may only be for Boston College students, I'm not sure yet, I'll keep you posted.  Jen has an appointment tomorrow with her neurologist and she isn't supposed to sleep at all tonight for this test she is having tomorrow.  Well I'm pretty much the one in charge or making sure she doesn't sleep and it is really hard.  Mom had a headache and went to bed.  Me, dad, and Jen are in the living room.  Dad has already fallen asleep.  Jen keeps dozing off and I keep waking her, but dad keeps saying leave her alone.  Mom said Jen isn't supposed to sleep at all, but dad really isn't helping.  Jen's appointment is at noon tomorrow at Children's Hospital, I don't know how the hell I'm going to keep her awake nonstop until then.  This is going to be very very hard.
